After an auction ends, it enters one of three result states. Here's what each means and what happens next.
Sold
The highest bid met or exceeded the reserve price.
- The winning bidder is notified
- Payment instructions are sent to the buyer
- The seller receives instructions for vehicle handoff/shipping
- Platform fees are calculated and collected
Unsold
The highest bid didn't meet the reserve price.
- The seller can negotiate directly with the highest bidder
- The listing can be re-listed with adjusted pricing
- No fees are charged for unsold auctions
Delisted
The auction was removed before completion.
- Seller-initiated — You decided to pull the listing (may incur fees depending on timing)
- Platform-initiated — The listing was removed for policy violations
