The Live Auction Experience (Bidding, Comments & Livestream)

Once an auction goes live, bidders compete in real-time with a dynamic bidding interface, community comments, and optional livestream. Placing a Bid 1. Open the auction listing 2. Enter your bid amount (must be higher than the current bid + minimum increment) 3. Click Place Bid 4. Your bid is submitted immediately Bid Increments Minimum bid increments increase with the current price: - Under $1,000: $50 increments - $1,000-$10,000: $100 increments - $10,000-$50,000: $250 increments - Over $50,000: $500 increments Comments Section The auction page includes a community comment section where: - Potential bidders ask questions about the vehicle - The seller responds with additional details - Community members share opinions and information Active comment sections increase auction engagement and often lead to higher final bids. Livestream Some auctions include a live video component. When available, the livestream shows the vehicle in real-time — cold starts, walk-arounds, and Q&A sessions. End of Auction When the timer reaches zero: - If the highest bid meets or exceeds the reserve → Sold - If the highest bid is below the reserve → Unsold (seller may negotiate with the highest bidder) Frequently Asked Questions Can I retract a bid? Bids are generally binding. Contact platform support if you need to discuss a bid retraction. What prevents sniping (last-second bids)? Many auctions have a soft-close rule: if a bid is placed in the final minutes, the clock extends to give other bidders time to respond.
