When a rental generates commission for a manager or sales rep, the commission can be manually recorded or automatically calculated based on their commission rate.

How to Record a Commission

1. Open the rental detail view
2. Go to the Commissions tab
3. Click Add Commission
4. Select the manager/rep
5. Enter the commission amount (or let it auto-calculate from their rate)
6. Save

Commission Types

• Percentage-based — Calculated from the manager's configured rate × rental revenue
• Flat amount — A fixed dollar amount for this specific rental

Commission Lifecycle

1. Created — Commission is recorded on the rental
2. Pending — Awaiting payout
3. Paid — Included in a commission payment (recorded in Reports → Commissions)
